Kanha National Park is a national park and a Tiger Reserve in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.Together with a surrounding buffer zone of 1,067 km˛ and the neighboring 110 km˛ Phen Sanctuary it forms the Kanha Tiger Reserve. This makes it the largest National Park in Central India.The Reserve is an excellent interspersion of the Dadars (flat hill tops), grassy expanses, dense forests and riverine forests. It is very rich in flora, largely due to the combination of landforms and soil types, apart from the moist character of the region.The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal Tiger, wild dog, porcupine, sloth bear, wild boar, leopard, honey badger, ruddy mongoose, Indian palm squirrel, flying squirrel, and striped hyena.Kanha has over 300 different species of birds
